About Dan Austin

Dan Austin is a live solo entertainer with over three hours worth of material, including both acoustic and electric guitar. His genres range from classic rock, to more modern chart songs as well as his own material that will appeal to any age group.

Regularly gigging in and around Cambridgeshire and sometimes further afield, Dan launched his solo career at the start of 2014, covering a broad array of artists from the past four decades. Icons such as, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Richie Sambora, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis have all influenced Dan and he has taken their styles and techniques, and adapted them to his own. Renditions of songs from Snow Patrol, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Elvis, Bon Jovi and the Lumineers show how Dan’s own flamboyant style gives a great over-all performance interacting with the audience.

Born on the 13th July 1995, Dan first picked up the guitar when he was seven years old and by the age of 14, was playing with other experienced musicians in pubs around the local area. In early 2013, Dan won heat 4 in the "Search for a Star" competition, and came runner-up in the final at the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton. Dan also played a 15 minute slot at the March Summer Festival in front of a crowd of about 2000 people.

His association with the well known Delta Pilots, has undoubtedly helped his confidence grow as an entertainer and shows his passion for music in his presentation. Dan was also invited to join The Delta Pilots to play at the Princess Theatre performing ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’, and has appeared as a guest guitarist/vocalist at other venues with them.
